Things People Say That Mean Absolutely Nothing

These are not definitions.
These are vibes disguised as sentences.
What people say:
“They’re just getting people high legally.”
What they mean:
“I don’t like that adults are allowed to enjoy things.”
What’s actually happening:
Regulated products, lab testing, compliance paperwork, and consumers making informed choices.

If legality bothers you more than misinformation, that’s a you problem.
What people say:
“Back in my day, weed was weed.”
What they mean:
“I once smoked something mysterious in a parking lot and now I’m nostalgic about it.”
What’s actually happening:
Modern cannabis is better understood, more consistent, and not coming from a guy named Snake.
Jam’n translation:
Progress happened. I’m sorry it didn’t ask permission.
What people say:
“I heard this stuff is dangerous.”
What they mean:
“I read a headline written to scare my aunt.”
What’s actually happening:
Dose, education, and responsibility matter……just like with literally everything else adults consume.
Jam’n translation:
Fear sells faster than facts.
What people say:
“They’re just trying to get around the law.”
What they mean:
“I don’t understand the law, but I’m mad anyway.”
What’s actually happening:
Businesses operating within the law while lawmakers argue with each other.
Jam’n translation:
Compliance isn’t sneaky just because you didn’t read it.
What people say:
“This is basically synthetic.”
What they mean:
“I heard a science word once and panicked.”
What’s actually happening:
Cannabis being cannabis. Plants doing plant things. Chemistry existing.
Jam’n translation:
Not everything you don’t understand is a lab experiment.
What people say:
“I don’t trust anything that comes in a vape.”
What they mean:
“I once saw a scary news segment in 2019.”
What’s actually happening:
Quality-controlled hardware, tested oil, and regulated manufacturing.

Fair concern. Wrong conclusion.
What people say:
“I took ONE gummy and was gone.”
What they mean:
“I took more than one gummy.”
What’s actually happening:
Edibles metabolize differently and patience is not optional.
Jam’n translation:
This is a dosing story, not a warning label.
What people say:
“I only use it for sleep/anxiety/pain.”
What they mean:
“I want to justify this to someone who didn’t ask.”
What’s actually happening:
Adults choosing how they manage their own bodies.
Jam’n translation:
You don’t owe anyone a reason.
What people say:
“It’s all just marketing.”
What they mean:
“I don’t like branding unless it’s beer.”
What’s actually happening:
Education, transparency, and yes—branding. Because clarity matters.
Jam’n translation:
Information ≠ manipulation.
What people say:
“What about the kids?!”
What they usually mean:
“I’m uncomfortable having honest conversations with adults about adult products…
but I’m totally fine ignoring alcohol, energy drinks, violent video games, and unrestricted social media.”
Let’s be real.
We already live in a world where:
Alcohol is advertised during major sporting events
Energy drinks are sold next to bottled water
Violent video games are rated, labeled, and still widely accessible
Social media exposes kids to far more than any product label ever could
And yet….somehow….hemp is the thing people clutch pearls over.
Meanwhile, the actual safeguards already exist:
Age restrictions
Packaging and labeling rules
Compliance requirements
Responsible adults doing adult things
None of this is new. None of this is reckless.
Protecting kids does not require:
Pretending adult products don’t exist
Infantilizing grown consumers
Lying, fear-mongering, or misinformation
It does require:
Clear rules
Honest labeling
Accountability
Parents parenting
Businesses operating responsibly
We don’t ban conversations about alcohol to protect kids.
We don’t erase violent video games….we rate them.
We don’t pretend social media is harmless…..we teach boundaries.
Hemp is no different.
Adult products belong in adult hands.
Education beats hysteria.
Transparency beats pretending.
And protecting kids shouldn’t come at the cost of treating adults like children.
Hemp didn’t get confusing on its own.
People made it confusing……then got loud about it.
